Congratulations to the New Orleans Saints, the city of New Orleans and the state of Louisiana. You continue to do the impossible.

Re: The Big Game!

The Colts played a really good game and I would not have wanted this any other way. To have two teams of such high calibre in the SB, makes it fun and makes it worth "turning off the world" for a couple of hours.

Obviously, Drew Brees was going to get MVP, but I can't help but think that young Garrett Hartley should be honored in a big way. Like the days of Morton Anderson putting up lots of points for the Saints, Garrett kept the the tean in the game, by scoring nine points on 40+ yard field goals, as well as by keeping the momentum going.

WHO DAT, BABY!

Re: The Big Game!

One of the best played games in a long time. Both offenses were excellent and there were very few mistakes by either team.

I said back in December, on the occasion of their loss to the Cowboys, that I thought the Saints were still the class of the NFL. I am only rarely right on that sort of thing, but this time I am glad I was.

Congratulations to the Saints.
A well deserved win and a great game to watch.
The second half on side kick, the 2 point conversion followed by the interception was just a joy to watch.:D:D

Congrats Saints Fans!!!!!!!

Hey Jay, check out this thread from Week 6 of the NFL. A number of us saw something special in your team this year, and some didn't.

I know, but I can't do it now - there isn't a centimeter of room on Bourbon for the boat - beer or not!

Awesome game. Congrats to the Saints and their fans, the monkey is off your back. Brees is an elite QB! Tied the SB record for completions.

Great game! Real fast-moving for a SB. Couldn;t believe the game was over before 10.

Down by 7 with like a minute to go I figured Manning was going to tie it up, and it was going to be the first SB to go into OT. Then he throws that last minute pick, just like Favre! Wonder if Favre and Manning are going to get together for a couple beers in the offseason, compare notes and try to figure out what happened. :D

Congrats to the Saints!!

Especially for two teams that don't run the ball! But when your QB only throws 7 incomplete passes, the clock will stay running.

What a performance by the Saints! That 2nd quarter was a shocker to me. I didn't think they could hold onto the ball that long. I thought they were more of a quick strike offense!
The onside kick, pure genius, and great luck! Made a huge difference in the game.
One mistake was all it took to turn a potetial tie into a 14 point game? Very well played game indeed. (For the record, even if Indy had tied it at 24, I thought NO would drive right down and score.)

It seems like it was only yesterday that Katrina had their stadium torn up and their team scattered. Congratulation Saints. Whata comeback.

First time all season, Colts were outplayed. I'm so disappointed, no 16-0 and no SB either.
