This spring I replaced an aluminum 13 1/14" 17 pitch prop on my 98 Honda 130 BFA, with a new SS Solas 13 1/4" 17 pitch prop. It makes a huge difference in hole shot and speed.
On my 18 foot Outrage, with one person and light fishing gear, the boat planned at 1900/2000 RPM. At 4,500 RPM I reached 37 mph. Last year, with the aluminum prop, I would plan at 3,500 PRM, and would reach a max speed of 38/39 mph at WOT.
I haven't checked the rpm or speed at WOT, yet.
I can't believe the difference the new SS prop makes.
