Re: the end

Anthony,

I hope someone will prevent you from taking that boat on the water again. If I lived near you I would take my chainsaw and cut a big hole in it so you could not. Would you risk your life or the lives of others by going out in a rotten boat that you very well know is unsafe??? Boating is fun, but it can also be dangerous. The rot that you found was above the waterline, because you probably have not looked below it. The hull works as a unit, and any weakness in the structure, even above the waterline jeopardizes the integrety of the whole hull.

Don't do it. I am sure others will offer the same advice.

Have a great day,

Rob.

It's never a good idea to get too sentimental over "stuff". Sentimentality should be reserved for only the important things: People and relationships. I'd say its time to let this go.

Re: the end

i have been thinking for a while and decided to get rid of the hull i would love to take her out for 1 last time and sink her and know she went the way she wanted to go this is hard to think about doing seem as its been with us for 14years and been through about 7 motors.

i would love to get a fibreglass boat rated for my 115hp but i would think it would be very hard to get a free one i just would find it very hard to spend money on a hull that needs work i will look into it i might place a wanted ad in the paper and see if any one has somthing for me i work at a marina so i will ask around and ask the guy i brought the trailer of he had lots of **** boats lying around that look somthing like i want i would like to have either a halfcab trihull or speedboat so i will look into it.

How cheap is this? You already have trailer..

if that was in the S.E. USA, i'd be on my way to get it. sent him a PM with your link, and told him to go get it. he also has the perfect engine.

I've seen worse. It's only plywood. The framing looks solid. It's your call.

Enjoy

I have found free boats in Craigs List. You might want to check it out.
