Re: The future of this site !

.
Well I'm new here and found the site by looking for a product as cheap as I could find it and have it shipped and iboats had what I wanted at the best price even shipped to my door, and it was done fast.

Yes I can find lower price at other places on many things, but I know I can find things here that I can not find in other places.

As far as WalMart they buy wholesale from many companies at 1 or 2 cent over there cost, or they don't handle the product. Those companies just want there products in WalMart even if they do not make but a very small profit.

Not to many companies can get product that cheap.

I also searched around on there site ( iboats ) and found all kinds of help with the different forums, and info on all kinds of boats and motors and products.

I like to ask questions and get different input from different people, and I have search and found many people here who love to help that have a lot of knowledge, and take it seriously.

Plus the Moderators are a great help too ! ! !

Also if you want to know why I post these remarks ... just read my signature line, and it will explain how I feel about this whole thread and iboats.

Merry Christmas And Happy New Year To All ! ! !

Re: The future of this site !

Like many folks here i happened upon this site when i was a starting a boat project about seven years ago. There were less than 10,000 members then. I was able to get the job done because of the knowledge that was here. Now with over 100,000 plus there are ten times the amount of folks who are here to give a helping hand. I would say Iboats has continued to evolve as the years go on. Along the way friendships developed and many of us have stayed because of that even though our projects are now just upkeep. Rest assured that when i need something here is where i will look, unless my better half is looking over my shoulder to see what toy i am looking to buy next.

So my neighbor decides to switch motors from his runabout and his toon. I helped him (of course) move the cables, batteries wires, all that good stuff. Once back in the water he finds out real quick that the 70 Yammie on the toon just ain't doing what it should. I told him he needs a flatter prop. He was skeptical. He tached and GPS'ed it, hit the forum and finally came to realize he needed a flatter prop. I said, let's check out some local marinas, they usually have used ones (he was short on funds). He said he would think it over. A couple hours later when I see him again I asked what he wanted to do. He said, I called iBoats, they figured out what I should have, and ordered one. A day or two later, it's here, and the toon moves like a scolded eel.

(send kickback to.......:D)
