I would highly suggest taking it to a speaker repair center. When mine let go I took it in and it was fixed properly in about 5 minutes and only cost me $5 which is way cheaper then replacing the speaker if you happen to slip and tear the cone. Living in Montreal you should be able to find someone that can fix it for you as there are lots of disc jockey supply stores there and at least one of them should know of a speaker repair location or check your local phone book under speaker repair. Hope this helps.
I don't dare ask the Volvo dealer. Could be a $100.00 for the bass. I'll look for a speaker repair shop. Right where the wire passes through the cone there is a spot of solder and a line of glue to vibrate the paper. It works if I hold the wire to the cone. Thanks.
The wire will have to be resoldered. If you are not an experienced solderer, this is not the job to learn on.....Unless the cone wire has been ripped from the diaphram, there should be no need for glue. If it has, I'd use an acrylic urethane caulk.....<br />
OEM Volvo. Now is see the filament glued to the cone has broken from the wire at the small solder. The radio man is out for a few days flat on his stomack. He just had his other side repaired. Thanks.
