Re: The Greening Of Mars
if you look up in the sky and every star you see and dont see has it's own planets circling it then there are billions of billions of planets out there, if one in a million is habitable then there are billions of billions of habitable planets.
Now if one in a million of those have developed life greater then single celled organisms, then there are millions of planets with life on them
If there are millions of planets, some has to be less evolved then earth, some the same and some more advanced then Earth. If we think of Earth as the median to judge all planets by, then I'm guessing about 10 percent of all planets are civilised with more technology then Earth. If they are more advanced, they probably came here and looked at us, watched our tv broadcasts and decided not to bother with us savages, much like most of us would do if we found an undiscovered island with people running around wearing buckskins and throwing rocks at eachother. Ever wonder why extra terrestials don't visit and say "hello, here we are"? well, lets examine it closer. When they come close, within our atmosphere, humans send their airforces out and try to shoot them down. If we succeed in shooting them down or they have a malfunction, they disappear into government facilities and they never come out, they are disected like a frog in grade 9 biology. Not something pleasant to look forward to. I dont for a second believe that in 1947 in Roswell an Airforce officer would confuse an alien spacecraft with a weather balloon. Either he was retarded, completely, or they are trying to cover up something.
Or is the airforce perhaps not informing their officers of what is going on, but then who is doing what and who is in charge??? Let's put it into perspective: would you care to visit an island, that whenever you get close to it, the inhabitans start to attack? If you're captured it's certain doom! Probably not a good place to visit. To them, Earthlings, us humans, are savages and worst of all, we are racist against them. Suppose they are beautiful human looking creatures, we would welcome them with open arms, but if they are different, which they certainly could be, humans will act judgmental. Our own prejudice is our worst enemy. Dont bellieve me, go watch some movies. All aliens who do not look like us are bad guys. Except E.T. but he was mentally challenged. One has to understand that if an alien civilization has the technology to come across the universe to Earth, they are probably way more advanced then humans as we cannot go to other planets. If a civilization is more advanced. odds are they have better weapons. If they do have better weapons and they wanted to come to Earth and take it or destroy all humans, they could easily do so. Who would stop them? Since we are still here, there must not be any plans against humanity. Sure there are supposed alien kidnappings, but it seems they only kidnap people who are married to their cousins anyways. The bigger question is, why did they bring people back? If they kiddnapped humans, why were they brought back? I dont know, sounds to me like somebody wants their 15 minutes of fame inthe news. Obviously wasn't to disect or eat them, maybe to study us.
Now if they are more advanced then Earth, there very well could be a Galactic Federation. This Galactic Federation may have many functions, I'm not about to watch Star Trek for ideas, but they will not deal with planets that are unrest. It wouldnt make sense. A sign that a planet is worthy of being invited is that it's inhabitants can live at peace, and we are long way away form that. Sure, we have a large enought population that is for peace, but there are too many bad apples in the barrell. We have to unite, and as such behave in a fashion that would merit us meeting other civilised worlds.
