Hijack

My husband was up on the ladder yesterday and dropped his paint brush on Sam's head. I think he looks like Paulie off The Soprano's.

Bares a resemblance, but Sam has those puppy dog eyes ;)

Vert that takes me back :D my first real bike for Christmas when I was 6 was that bike only in red metalflake :D. The good news is if you have a schwinn dealer nearby you can get anything you want for that bike still including all the decals . The banana seat and sissybar are also still available :D.

The Women's Rules

The female always makes the rules

The rules are subject to change at any time without prior notification.

No male can possibly know all the rules.

If the female suspects the MALE know all the rules, she must immediately change some or all of the rules.

The female is never wrong.

If the female is wrong, it is due to a misunderstanding which was a result of something the male did or said wrong.

The male must apologize immediately for causing said misunderstanding.
The female may change her mind at any time.

The male must never change his mind without the express written consent of the female.

The female has every right to be angry or upset at any time.

The male must remain calm at all times unless the female wants him to be angry or upset.

The female must, under no circumstances, let the male know whether or not she wants him to be angry and/or upset.

The male is expected to mind read at all times.

Any attempt to document the rules could result in bodily harm.

If the female has PMS, all the rules are null and void.

The female is ready when she is ready.

The male must be ready at all time.

The male who doesn't abide by the rules can't take the heat, lacks backbone, and is a wimp.

;) :)

HIJACK!
I also like to collect old maps (actually prints of old maps 'til I come up with some more $$$:p). Here are a couple I picked up recently & haven't had time to frame yet. They're both bird's eye views of Philadelphia.
This one was originally done as a "supplement to Frank Leslie's Illustrated Newspaper No. 1059"...whatever that is:
This was made for the Philadelphia & Reading RR in 1875:

BOB

Very cool stuff Bob, love the old stuff!
Maps are way cool too.....

You have to check this out if you're into old stuff, spend a few hours checking out the natl history
Its the US National Archives website, high res downloads and such, print out your own old maps!

check em out HERE in the map room of the US National Archives website
http://lcweb2.loc.gov/ammem/gmdhtml/gmdhome.html

I use some of the old west maps of towns, so when I go there I can see what USED to be there, also great for figuring where to metal detect. Old Detroit hasnt changed much...roads are the same from over 120 years ago...crazy

Railfans go HERE for superior maps of the old lines! 1800s to 1900s
http://memory.loc.gov/ammem/gmdhtml/rrhtml/rrhome.html

heres a link to a listing of all the rail line maps catergorized by NAME
http://lcweb2.loc.gov/ammem/gmdhtml/rrhtml/rrmapRailro02.html

Have fun all well worthy place to do fun perusing and research stuff....

Heres the geography and map reading room online good stuff!
theres also old 1800 panoramas and neat drawings of towns form high angles like the map Bob showed on his message

AIRPLANE HIJACK!

We can't have a hijack thread without talking about airplanes! I flew radio controlled aircraft for 20 years, but got outta the hobby back in '92.

Who else was into R/C stuff?

Here's me a LONG time ago with a nice big ol' bipe.

Hey BWR, I am, but I don't have planes even though I have my A&P license. I have boats lol no figure huh. I have a couple of remote hydroplanes, an a V hull.

Now I'm sorry to say I'm gonna bring the tempo down a bit on this thread, some of you know my daughter Jennifer was in the hospital last month with abdominal pain and they still haven't found the reason. They discharged without finding why and she has been going for out patient tests. Well I got a phone call this morning and she is back in the hospital. She has still been in severe pain but learning to live with it, she went to work this morning collapsed in pain and started throwing up blood she was immediately taken to Newton hospital.
Got to tell ya she is handling this much better than her mom and I, Jennifer will turn 25 next Tuesday she is to young to be going through this crap. Please if you believe in prayer please say an extra one for her.

Sorry to hear that Bill. Here's hoping that as her condition has become more serious, it's cause will become more apparent.

Re: The Hijack Zone - Zombies Welcome

Thank You All ,
I'm heading to Jersey tomorrow to see her, They sent a surgeon it to see her this afternoon. Now after all this testing they are saying it Might be her appendix so they are going to remove it. After all this poor kid has been through for the past month , a week in the hospital last month, constant pain, she has seen doctors 2-3 times per week since , they had ruled out appendicitis in the beginning. I don't know it just doesn't make sense to me
