Re: The hole in the wall mystery

TCU in Fort Worth has a geology course you could find a Prof. there to look at it fo you.

Looks like a rock to me, but that picture doesn't show me much detail.
This lady is Curator of the Oscar E. Monnig Collection and Assistant Professor of Meteoritics and Planetary Science there.
I would like to know what it is also.

Not real sure where you are located at, but you may want to look into Baylor University in Waco as well. May be closer to you. Here is some contact info if you want to get in touch with them.

Re: The hole in the wall mystery

I will take some pix.

The nearest neighbor on the east side is over a mile away.

Did you ever try to put your fist through 1/2" of fibrous concrete and 6" of insulation, then hit a wall hard enough to eject guns from a rack on the other side?

Mereorites do not always fall straight down. Quite often they fall like rain in a high wind. . . slanted.

As you will see when you see pix of the gun rack, it took a mightier whack than a person could muster to penetrate the siding and 6" of fiberglass and still whack the back of the rack hard enough to dump my arsenal.

A mower-thrown rock would have to be about a pound or more and fly about 150' from my neighbor's pasture. It would have destroyed a field mower, I think.

I hit a 4' long piece of 2" pipe just right with my shredder, it went way over 150' Was the neighbor sredding? Sredders can and have thrown rocks that kill people.???????????

"The evil spirits theory has been reinstated"

LOL and might agree only if you have the rock checked out.
Then call Ghost Hunters!
Or Monster Quest. :)
