Yeah JK. Big topic and kinda sorry that I posted strong thoughts. Let me turn it around on you. As I asked above, what benefit to society can you cite for redefining marriage?<br /><br />As far as elaboration . . . I believe that the hardware works one way i.e. makes babies one way. I believe that marriage as it has been defined over the last coupla three thousand years is based on the design of that hardware (no matter who or what desigend it), because it results in children. I think that society should continue to uphold that definition based on the benefits to society of healthy children, let alone the benefits to those children. Again, I am not asserting that healthy happy children cannot be raised in alternatives to traditional heterosexual households, but I believe strongly that it is the preferred method. There are simply things that children get from a loving mother that a father cannot give, and there are things that a loving father can provide to children that a mother cannot. Men and Women are different (another thing I strongly believe) and they both bring unique things to children that cannot be simply compensated for.
