This rack is make of porcelain or some sort of porous material. it should have been steel what is it called because I can't find anything on it. This rack is bolted to the transom .
the rack would be the inner transom. Can this be repaired in the boat. Looks like it is made of porcelain. Can an epoxy hold it. I don't no why it cracked while install the rebuilt steering ram.
the steering ram is held in the boat off the transom it called the inner transom it is a very porous molded rack with smooth finish. for some reason it cracked and will not hold the piston cylinder in position when steering is used.
