Re: the truth about Bayliner lovers/haters

Well baja, you do have quite a set of stones.

Bayliners have no place on an offshore racing forum. However, they are appropriate to discuss on a forum that includes all types of cruising, fishing and recreational boats....places where Bayliner excels.

The issue is not "does Bayliner compare to a boat that's made to go 100 mph". The issue is "are Bayliners a low-quality boat". The answer, as clearly shown in this thread, is no.

Now go back to your parents' basement LOL.

haha i don’t think my parents have a basement.. more of a crawl space.. :p

as for the question, yes you are right. But in my own view.. If money was no object and there were no spending limits, i would rather have a performance boat over a bayliner. that’s just me.. friends of mine have performance boats.. there fun.. why do you buy a sports car? to have fun. same concept with a performance boat. Some people have need they need to fill, and in some cases a performance boat will not fill those needs. and a bayliner will. nothing wrong with that.. why buy a McLaren when you need a Semi? :)

Bondo seriously it depends on the boat. The smaller older boats really are cheap and the build quality of the interior materials is bad the hull and stringers actually hold up well. I should know. :) Now the bigger boats are put together better are/were more expensive and last longer and are worth the money. The New boats starting about 91-93 the build quality got good due to change in managment. Also the materails got better to.

are you attending college? I bet you are a political science major, you sound like a politician. Don't side step the question.
Have any proof that Bayliners are of poor quality. Put up or shut up! Go and play with your Baywatch dolls.

Gonna have to start coming around a little more regularly...this thread is a hoot.

Baja old buddy, you just dont' get it. After being exposed like you were, how can you come here and ask these members to be "fair" with you and come play by your rules on your turf?? Exactly where is your turf and what kind of boat do you really own? Get a grip son....Stratocaster nailed it...you do have a set of stones.

You have a long way to go in order to regain any shred of credibility with this crew. Only recourse IMO is to apologise for your duplicity and attempt to have honest discussions about the boats that we actually own. Leave the fantasy for another board.

Is Baja one of the kids I see here in High Point so often that drive around their parents Escalade and act as if it is their own? That is the impression I get... I am surprised he came back though. What name do you post under at the other site Baja? I didn't see a 'Baja Power' in their memberlist.

Hey Pirate...I was a Political Science major:)

To the point of the thread. I have never owned a Bayliner and have never bashed them. I have owned a lot of boats (25+)and have bought almost all of them with the intent of fixing them up and selling. I have not bought Bayliners because the percieved issues with quality keep resale values down...and they are difficult to make money on. At least in this area. They have made a lot of good looking boats and I am sure that they are better built than many give credit for. The sad fact of the matter is that there a really very few boats on the market that are truly well built.

Baja, there have been other posts where you claim that you are repairing this boat "Tonto" and you need help with the project. A boat that you have never even owned or have seen. You definitely have some type of problem. Either you have some irrational urge to impress others or you honestly believed this was in some way your boat. This is pretty scarey. Speak to someone. Go get some help.

Re: the truth about Bayliner lovers/haters

This has got to be one of the funniest post that I have read on this forum. I know it started out for people to give their opinions of Bayliners which I think the boats are nice, but never owned I have only taken rides on friends boats. But I have been laughing out loud about BAJA, damn thats funny!!!!! I almost feel bad for the boy!!

Now that Ba-ha's been exposed as a wannabe, if we can only figure out how to get a picture of Bondo's 'Bayliners rule' tatoo across his lower back... we'll be free!

I don't see any reason to compare 2 boats which are obviously built for 2 totally different purposes.

You wouldn't want to hunt ducks with a rifle and you don't want to hunt deer with a shotgun. If comparisons are to be made, let's compare with boats made for the same purposes.

Hey Baja Power...last time I checked...Baja's were made by Brunswick. Baja=Brunswick=Bayliner=several other very well made boats. Oh, right, you don't run a Baja anymore...you claim to run that other god-awful lookin thing you posted a pic of.

You know what, lets make a truce here. I live near the north shore of Lake Erie, and as I understand it, you live somewhere in Ohio? Why don't you ask mommy or daddy if you can go for a boat ride and I'll come across and pick you up! I'm pretty sure your about 13 years old and putting on the front of a tough guy who thinks he knows what he talks about.

One last thing...why dont you change your screen name from Baja Power (since you hate Brunswicks products) to "Putrid purple, red, yellow and blue P.O.S.)

Cheers mate
