That's it! I'm going to start my own "barter" company.

Today and today only you can keep me from blowing you AND A FRIEND (Bonus Offer) up for only $_______Originally posted by PW2:

I think it is encouraging that they want to barter, and all we are haggling over is the price.

True.

China is the one with the cards, in this case.the present situation jump starts China in becoming a geo political player on the world stage sooner than expected.
It seems to me every every country that pumps oil or enriches uranium has US right where they want US these days.
Regardless of the price at the pump, I'm begining to think that oil is just getting too expensive.

Heaven forbid someone mention the "I" word.
To bad we couldn't change attitude of on them. Sure would help matters if we became "i"ndependent from all of them.
Makes sense that our homegrown technology would evolve towards that independence. Independent energy technology would flourish.
The whole attitude would result in US holding a lot of cards. Without the burdens of being the "worlds police."
When the rest of the world is choking on oil and the world begs US to come out to play again. We could market to the world some real US made products they just couldn't live without. But we clearly have something they should want.
