You get the point of the title.
Mine was unloading my boat last night. I always use my parking brake so I don't wear the parking gear on my tranny. Well last night I set the parking brake and unloaded the boat. When I get in my truck to move it, the brake won't disengage. I mess with it for a minute and then decide to just put her in 4WD Low and power up to a parking spot.
Well since the boat was in the water and all warmed up I just thought, what the heck, lets go for a ride. Well when we get back to the ramp I go to get my truck and see if reverse will loosen the brake at all. Nope, not one bit. I call my cousin who lives just down the road and ask him if he can stop by with some cable cutters. He says he can leave in about 15-20 min.
Meanwhile my 1 year old is tired and wants to go to bed and it's 80 degrees and humid out. It's 9:00pm and the mosquitoes are horrible. So I called my step mom to pick up my wife and kids and I stayed. My cousin showed up and cut the drivers side cable and BOOM, the brake released.
LUCKILY it was a Monday night and it was me and two other people using a 4 dock ramp. If it were an evening over the weekend, I would have been THAT GUY. Now I just have to laugh it off.
