There is something missing

I recently inherited a 1972 25 HP Evinrude outboard motor. Serial number 25252 - E02215. There are four male connectors just hanging on the starboard side right next to (Outboard) the automatic choke and just forward of the starter solenoid. The manual I have does not describe anything and it does not look like an after market modification. What issupposed to be there? Thanks for any help provided. I have pictures, but don't know how to add them.<br /><br />Leonard

Is the engine currently a tiller control?I'm thinking along the lines of maybe those connections being for remote control harness.

Thanks Roscoe and Rick. In the mean time, below is a link to the pictures. The engine is tiller controlled. However it can be set up for remote. It was not in a remote configuration when I got it. The power cord connecter on the forward side of the engie has six small and one big male pins. So it seems it may have been used in a remote configuration. Sorry we missed this one.<br />Those two connectors in the foreground look like the ones for the remote kill switch. They should just plug into a pair of wires that lead to the wiring harness plug, along with the solenoid wires and the electric choke solenoid wire. It does not matter which is connected to which, as one is for the top cylinder's spark and one is for the bottom. The remote kill switch simply shorts these two together to stop the engine.<br /><br />I hope that makes some sense!
