Can anyone tell me if I have some type of cold start thermo device that advances the timing on a cold engine until hot, then lets the timing return to the normal idle setting? I am aware of the fuel enrichment valve and how it works, but my Seloc also refers to this thermo device for timing advance on cold engines. I want to pull the s/plugs, spin the engine, and check idle timing with a light. If there is a cold start advance on my engine I will get the advance degree reading, not the normal reading. If I do have one I will have to locate and disable the device to check the timing. Any help will be appreciated. thanks
