Thermostat Installation

Hi Guys
I received my new thermostats and I just want to make sure that I'm installing them correctly on my 1992 120hp Johnson .
According to the following diagram



And this is how I see it being installed based on the diagram

that metal ring holds the rubber seat onto your head bevel side out. the rest you have right. for future reference you could snap a couple of pictures before taking things apart. also you could shove a small screwdriver in the bullet head hole and unscrew to service gunk.

Unfortunately there wasn't a thermostat to take a pic of when I took the cover .
