Really very good information in all replies that appear in this forum.
I have this problem.
1) I have a Evinrude 60hp 1989 3 cylinders with a thunder-craft 17
2) 2 year ago the engine overheated . Gasket
was burned and the middle piston smelt a little; therefore, Evirunde dealer redo all engine including carburetor and water pump
3) the summer after I had exactly the same problem. Gasket was burnt in the middle cylinder. I guarantee that the water pump was working well because the engine was peeing all the time. heat Alarm was broken. I went back to the Dealer and he change the gasket and install the alarm. He test the boat in the lake
4) Yesterday I connect the garden hose with muffs to test the engine for fist time after dealer reparation and I can see that the engine is peeing without start it.
5) does it means that the Dealer has removed the T-stat? do you recommend to ask him to reinstall it after the 2 overheat without any reason?
