How often do you Chang the thermostats? Is it enough to simply inspect the thermostats once a year?

yes it is fine to inspect it once a year, only if the thermostat gives problems it needs to be replaced, otherwise it is not a general part that needs to be replaced every year ........... unless you run the motor in sea water and never flush it after use ........

I agree with deejaycee. I just changed both of mind on a 1986 ProV150. This was the first time it was done, and it was done just to prevent any problems that may occur. The thermostats looks fine/clean and wasn't giving me any problems.
