I've been reading a lot of posts about thermostats recently and now that I have my 1993 Johnson 115 (TJ115TLETS) in good running condition I am curious to find out if the thermostats are working properly. When I run on the muffs the water that comes out either side of the lower unit just above the antivent plate is warm to the touch(not hot). The tell-tale water is cold. Is all this normal and what is a good test to see if the thermostats are operating as they should? I have not had any over-heating problems or alarms. This motor has never had them replaced and also has very few hours on the engine, overall. I bought it new but just haven't put that many running hours on it.
Thanks to all for the excellent help in the past.
Bill
