Amazing what crack cocain will do to a person. A big, handsome, athletic guy I went to high school with by the name Jerry got into crack a few years after graduation. Took all of about 3 years to reduce him to a skinny, shaking, incoherent, paranoid, scared, shell of a person. Last time I saw him alive he was taking out the trash at a local bar. I called out his name, he just stared at me, the owner of the bar came over, barked a few orders at Jerry to stack beer in the basement. The the owner looked at me and said not to talk to Jerry because he doesn't know who anyone is, and Jerry is not the same person I new years ago. He said for my own well being, do not approach Jerry.

I believe Jerry died of complications of his addiction a year or so after that.

Such a shame.

QC, I also have seen the effects of crack personally. My best buddy's older brother went through the Navy, was married, employed as a manager of a Sherwin Williams paint store, nice cars, etc. etc. He got hooked and lost everything. Wife, house, kids, everything. He has taken advantage of his family any everyone he can. I hate to say it, but I wouldn't be surprised to have to go to a funeral, if the guy doesn't end up in jail. :( :( :(
