With what Ive seen of the flood,I think id rather have a tornado again than that.I just saw where they tested some of the standing water and it was not good at all.You should have no problem w backed up drain lines from the plumbing either!!!

Yep, I noticed that straight-up too.
But lets be fair, with all that water for that period, the footings haven't sunk one end have they?
Is the area you are taking the photo from your property too?
That's a lot of water, so I really hope the structure survives.
Good luck
Cheers

Silly, water runs down hill, so of course the water on the down river side will be higher than the water on the up river side! Sheezzzz!!! :p:eek:;):D

Are you sure you didnt put the fall on the floor on purpose?.Put a door on the downslope side, and when it floods again you can open it and let the water out when it recedes!:Dlooks like at least 1 percent fall, thats plenty to move water.

I would suggest not putting casters on any of your furniture...

If you want to build a floor that high again, rent a self leveling rotateing laser or an engineers/surveyors level. The pic was taken above the floor and you could set the laser or horizontal line of the crosshairs on the conventional level at your desired elev.and make it very level somewhat easily.

LF
We get a little reprieve since they opened the gates to save Baton Rough and New Orleans. But water is still backing up the delta from Vicksburg back north. 3 million acres of crops lost and no telling how many houses. Main concern now is still levy breaks and Sand Boils. We have and a couple of the boils close by but they got them under control for now. River has crested here but it will be end of June before its back to normal. Still hate it for the farmers and folks in La. Gonna be a long summer.
