Speaking for myself as a life long liberal all I can say is don't mess with my Michael Savage!

Here are my opinions.

1. Talk Radio is predominately conservative because they're more fun to listen to than liberals. Liberal talk Radio is more embarrassing than entertaining.

2. Talk Radio never changed anyones mind about anything. With all their over the top hyperbole they're actually more effective at giving the liberals credibility than anything you'll hear on Air America.

3. If you're depressed listen to Rush Limbaugh or Michael Savage and you'll soon find your not God's worst work.

4. Many talk radio stations already offer alternative points of view. For example Fox has Alan Combs.

5. Freedom of speech is sacred but that's not at stake here. What we risk loosing is capitalism's freedom to let the market decide what we can and can not buy.

6. Pornography has always been a "slippery slope" and nowhere is that more evident that on talk radio.

7. The average American is capable of sifting through the crap to get to the facts.

Well said Chugger, (I don't agree with much of what you said about changing minds or some other things) but Dr. Wiener is embarrassing, (at least from my perspective), but I do not want him denied the RIGHT to speak and show the amazing amount of anger he can muster over most things over long periods of time.
