Seriously, do they think they can annoy someone into spending $20,000? I have no reason to do business with telemarketers, email spammers, and now Chevrolet.

this is why i just bought another FORD..........

P.S. look at the SHT section, and 90% of the trucks under water are made by whom?????

Yeah, unfortunately that didn't work for me and IE9. Two banners on either side plus the one at the bottom. The X to close the bottom banner used to be immediately aparent but now it seems to be hidden until a predetermined amount of time allows it to appear and be closed.

Two days ago there was a fly across add but that seems to be gone now.....

How do the pop-up blockers effect the pop-up which appears to upload photos as an attachment? In screwing around I set the pop-up block setting in IE9 to "high" and it prevented me from posting pics.

Try holding down your ctrl key when uploading attachments.

I have my google pop-up blocker set on high and it doesn't get rid of the ads either... and I don't need another browser.

It would be nice if the site was a little more IE friendly... seems like the IE users are the ones being targeted for the pop-up spam.

Everyone is targeted, just some learn to leave IE and get a browser that works everywhere and will do what they ask. IE just can't keep up. IE may not have the best ad blocker or popup blocker. but at least it's slow.

Its a known fact that, Explorer 7 - 8 & 9 does not play well with vBulletin.

Firefox with Adblocker Plus is the way to go. :)

I was using Firefox for years but IE9 is faster on my machine despite updates and even a re-install of Firefox. Going click for click on the same page with the same add-ons IE9 wins. Maybe IE9 caches more as Firefox seems to be slower with images.

A solution to the advertising problem is being looked in to.

For the mean time, those that are not able to view the "[X] CLOSE" on the ads. This is caused by you using Internet Explorer 7, you may be using a newer version, but have "Compatibility Mode" turned on. If you turn this off, then you will view the page on a newer supported browser and also can now close the ad.

Instructions for turning Compatibility Mode off:
Step 1: Let’s turn off compatibility view and check.
a. Open internet explorer.
b. Click on Alt key on the keyboard. Now click on Tools in menu bar.
c. Select Compatibility View Settings.
d. Remove the check mark for Display all websites in Compatibility View and close the Compatibility View Settings window.
Step 2: Reset internet explorer settings and check.

Please contact us further if you have any questions.

Best regards,
Tony

I've also got *.doubleclick.net and a bunch of the googlesyndicate stuff blocked so that may take care of the rest.

LOL IE9 is slow? Used the latest version of Firefox? They should call it Firecrash.

I just have the latest Firefox & Windows 7 and haven't seen a Chevy ad for a long time. Or any other pop-up on this site.

Here's the kicker.....

YOU DON'T HAVE TO CLOSE IT OUT!

Leave it there...so what? It's stays at the bottom and dosen't interfere with any of the postings...just scroll past it. Why let the little things drive you nuts???

One of those did it! Thanks! No more adds with IE9 and no special pop-up blocker software.
Thanks Oldjeep!

I don't know why anyone uses internet explorer at all...I just closed the ads every time and never thought about it...I installed adblocker plus, took about 30 seconds to find and install it, and no more ads...

Re: They win! Selling the boats...

I've already posted this a couple times, but if you add *.servicesiboats.com to your restricted sites list then all the crap goes away

Thank you very much. I just set it up and that annoying popup went away. They were a pain in the rectum every time I changed the page ...... I'm using Chrome...

EDIT: I lied. Still getting pop-ups. May not be as frequent. Seen a Dodge ad and something for hunting, rut buster..... My pop-up blocker is turned on too.....
