Blah ba blah ba blah, im still going to whip his #$3, But that dont mean he's a bad guy.......... Pssst i need to mod a 4.3 tbi to 260 hp any hint's here...........8)

Intake manifold, cam and exhaust will get you there(as long as you have the Vortec heads) providing you can get the ECM to work with new cam, otherwise you can just replace it with an Edelbrock 4bbl.

Have fun - You wont quite have the same torque as the 5.7's but all of those 5.0EFI just won't understand "how that little v6 runs harder than their BIG V8"

Hell id go there but the TB is only 400 cfm, between that and the exhasust and no support for the ecm its impossible, unless you can show me a link how to get there. And aside from that changing the cam would shift the power up making is slug out of the hole, one would think.

You can change cams and keep your power band right where it is(just BIGGER)

What first got me looking into this was an article in one of those "sport truck" magazines. They replaced the factory cam(very very mild) with a mild westech cam for a net increase of 42 hp at 4800 RPM They wanted an engine for a truck, so all power gains had to be below 5k. Torque also was increased across the board with peak being 275 @ 2500RPM. that was 15 more at a lower RPM.

Call Edelbrock, They don't have this as a premade package, but they can get you PN's for and intake manifold, cam, carb and carb tuning kit that will all work together. Pricing should run around a grand or so, but if you sell your EFI setup in ebay you should get most of that back.
