I'm looking at buying a 1997 Moomba Boomarang. With a 351 Indmar, waketower, new upholstery. He says there is NOTHING wrong with the boat. The prop and rudder looks good. NADA says $7200. He was asking $8500 for it. Got him down to $6000. Do any of you have info for me? Thanks.

Nothing really helpful here, but I have friends that wakeboard and waterski a LOT (and I mean a LOT - like 2-3 hours per DAY, 7 days per week, 6 months a year).

They have a Moomba of the same vintage (maybe a few years newer) and have run it hard for years without major issue. I've been in their boat and it seems fairly well built (they keep it up cosmetically as well as mechanically).

Good luck.

Moomba is a skier's chioce company, the same as Supra -- well at least they are now. I think most of them are made in the great state of TN.

Great boats, a real good value in a competition style ski or wakeboard boat.

To me, kind of like the Stingray of the direct and v-drive world -- no compromise on performance, ride, handling, but compromise on hardware, vinyl, finish, etc, so you get a great performing boat for a more reasonable price.
