I am not the seller of this boat, but I think it would be great to own, my concern is the age of the air tubes/bladders, does anyone have any experience w/these combo PWC/RIB???
While I think the price is WAY out of line, it might be salvageable, and I could put a rib like this to good use.

The tubes can last a long time, depending upon maintenance, storage conditions, care and feeding. I sold a 16' Zodiac that had frequent use, and the tubes and valves were near new, after 14 years. The boat was washed after each use, treated with 303 quite often, stored indoors, etc. Look for excessive wear, chafing where the tubes meet the hull, excessive bubbles at the seams, patches, leaky valves, rotted o-rings, etc...If it shows a history of good care, give it a shot (I can't comment on the drivetrain; know nothing about it).

Those SeaDoo Explorers were only made for a few years, and from what I hear they are highly desired due to their unique capabilities.

For comparison, here's another one:
'1994 SEADOO Explorer she is a 14' long RIB with 3 inflatable tubes around her (looks like USCG boat) she has a Rotax engine which runs direct to a water JET. Seats as many as 5 people, and she will pull a skier. All safety equipment is included along with a titled Shorelander trailer. Handles like a go cart and runs like a rocket. Asking $2900.00.'

Sounds like so far, other than the blown engine, this could be a gem.
I want to use it on shallow rocky/gravel river, not shoals but loose rock and gravel, as well as lake.

Can you just throw an outboard on it and get rid of the inboard? Will that leave too much work and open spaces?
