Re: This engine scares the crap out of me.

Hoeser,

I just opened up your link and I wish I could go boating. I am in Korea right now and have 9 more months to go. I own a 16 footer ski boat with a 88 hp SPL Evinrude and seeing that picture wishes I could be running my boat right now. Take care, Bob
Wow !!! 9 months in Korea !!!! I was there twice last year for 10 days at a time. I dont think I could handle that duration with a boat at home waiting. I saw a lot of armed forces over there when I was there and some were on the same flights as I was. Is that what you are doing over there ???
Good Luck and enjoy your boat when you get back.

Kenmyfam,

Yes I am in the Air Force and got hit for the assignment I am on now in Osan Korea last year. I am doing the remote assignment and this will definitely be the last time I come here. The next time will be retiring if another assignment comes down for Korea, which when I get back home in the states March 2008I shouldn't be touchedfor a while hopefully. Yes, I miss my wife and 2 daughters, in fact there camping with neighbors at Carlyle Lake in Illinois this weekend and I wish in all of this world I could be there with them and enjoy my boat and camper too. Take care, Bob:redface:

Wow Bob, that sucks. Hope you can get out on the water as soon as you get back... at least you'll be getting back at the beginning of the season. I'll have to double up on the boating this year so you can live vicariously through me.

Hoeser,

I really appreciate that jester of you boating double for me. We boaters have to stick together in those rough times and that is what I like about this forum, good group of people on here:). I miss boating more and more when the weather gets hotter hear at Osan Korea. I wish I could blink my eyes and be home on my weekends but that isn't going to happen. Yeah, my boat is back at home in Mascoutah. I am definetely comming home in Septemeber 5 thru 2 October for my 30 day midtour leave and hopefully the weather will be nice to get out and baot and camp, I am getting the jitters thinking about it. Take care, Bob

Thank you Habu,

I am glad to be part of the military history here at Osan. I am hoping that North Korea will unify with South Korea someday. Hopefully I will be able to see that day before I leave this world to the resting place. Hopefully everywhere were there is unrest in our world hopefully will come to agreement and put a stop to this unfair killing/injuring of our young men and woman. Thank you guys, Bob;)

I've been an engine Tech for almost 5 years now not including tech school , every time i fire an engine up,that i've worked on, I get that feeling in the pit of my gut. but i'm told thats what makes a good Tech. well that and not messing up. good luck. and remember... the rebuild is always easier after you have already done one.

Heh... Thanks firetie... I'm on the 15 hour mark with the engine and have not had any issues. I updated the VRO last week as well. It's a great running engine.
