I see them posted that way on CL fairly frequently where I live. They usually mean 20,000 or 8,000 or whatever. In other words, add three zeros to the posted figure and you've got the amount they are asking for the item.

I don't know why they don't post the full and correct amount instead of abbreviating it that way.

Maybe some glitch in CL's posting system?

We get quite a few where the are $1. Usually take a look and they want big money for something on CL. typo? probably not. Just looking for more interest/catch more eyes.

Yeah, I think the C/L software doesn't like the comma after the beginning of the price and just cuts it off there. It's a frequent occurrence.
