That is what you would classify as starting high so there's plenty of room to negotiate. Wonder what he will do if you ask him for his bank info so you can deposit the 3 grands into his account for the boat.

Gee, is the snow included also???? Glad he got it ready for the pictures! 40hp pushing an 18.5' boat AND plenty of power to pull a skier? Not me on my slalom ski, that is for sure!

So, we have:
1. An underpowered 40 year old boat
2. A rotting floor
3. A motor that has not been run for 3 years
4. No title for the boat or trailer (I can understand the boat because they just went to titles for PA boats a few years ago, but we have ALWAYS had titles for trailers ... can't get a license for them without the title, so how did he move the boat around?)
5. A rusty trailer that hasn't been used in who knows how long and the wheel bearings are probably rusted beyond belief.
6. A slumping economy
7. A non-boating season

So, how much were we asking for this again????

Come on Bondo, that's where the $3K comes from, extra charge for the poor man's jack plate . . .

That may in fact be the worst "deal" I have ever seen on CL. Personally, I wouldn't haul it away for free . . .

I should contact the guy and tell him that I'll give him full asking price if A.) he can successfully tow it the 25 miles to the river B.)it can successfully pull me up on water skis and C.) at no point do I fall through the floor.

He actually only needs the money to get his 20 million dollar yacht back from the bank. If you send him the money for the boat, he'll let you have the yacht for half the year.

I thought it was a pretty good asking price...until I saw those 3 zero's at the end.

Is that an old Fast Twin on the back? Makes me ashamed as a Glastron owner to see an ad like that.

What someone should do is wait until spring and then contact that guy...if he hadn't posted it 30 more times, dropping the price each time...I bet he'd be all sorts of excited to get a hit off that ad...sheesh
