ok i just bought my first bass boat and i dont know how to use the live wells ive heard all stories from they will fill them selves to i have to add the water. the boat is a 1979 monark if that help any and it has some white pipe thing that has a valve on it what does it do its not the drain. HELP!!! WANT TO FISH!!! NEDD LIVEWELL!!!

SS,<br /><br />If that white pipe is NOT on the bottom of the livewell, it is the fill/areator.<br /><br />You should have a pump, attached to the inside of the transom, that has a fitting going outside the hull. That would be the areator/fill pump.<br /><br />You should be able to control that pump from the dashboard. Once in the water, turn it on and open those valves you described. The tanks should fill.<br /><br />The tanks should also have an overflow (toward the top) and a drain.<br /><br />The overflow will allow you to cycle the areator pump to keep freshgwater going through the tanks.<br /><br />The drain is self explanatory.
