I don't know why everyone has to be a bunch of whiney little babies - I think the new version of the software is great! Has anyone taken a look at the My User Area on the right side? Features!!! I loooooove features!!! Features and settings.

Plus, noone has acknowledged the spell check, save draft, and thread search features!!

AND you can attach a file! Shizzle, this thing is great! So it looks different... as my Irish New Yorker Grandfather would say.... "Get over it!!"

No one likes change but we will get used to it. I don't like the narrower text screen but I do like the larger screen for posting or replying. Yeah, the emoticons are kind of crummy but they do get the message across. 8)

It is much faster than it was at first but still a little slower than the old software. I am sure that they are still working on it and it will get better yet. All in all I have no major problems with it and will not quit as some others have done. I think that we all appreciate the forums being here for us. Thanks Iboats! d

Hey, I finally got it to post, been trying, but I keep getting the "can't post now" or the "maintenance mode" messages.

Maybe now I can check out the new features.

I still don't think it was handled well up until the second attempt at fixing. EE you guys weren;t here when this thing first came back after the upgrade.................it wasnt anything like it is right now. Lots of people are still reeling from that. I said it before and I'll say it again..........I think lots of people would like to know why the upgrade happened and what the objectives were in doing so, not to mention a sticky thread could have been put at the top of each forum warning people of the upgrade and just explaining what may be happening. I tend to think if people were forewarned and knew a major change was coming they would be more accepting of the changes.

You can say its free until your mouth is blue and that won't change people's opinions. Yes I am thankful it is, and I am grateful for this site. The new features are nice, and I happen to like them but I also tend to think that it will confuse some people. Spell check is great, but it will mess up any links and images you post, wether you change anything or not ( at least it messes mine up).

Anything is easy, once you know how. Learning how and finding out how, and of course selling boat parts is the reason this site exists. 'course there will always be a wide variety of individuals that frequent any open market. Even snot nosed know it all kids, and retired school of hard knocks rednecks who don't want to accept anything new. 8)
