When out of water(no engine running) I put the lever in forward or reverse I still can rotate the prop in the relevant direction(won`t turn in the opposite direction).Is it normal ?I want to know,cause I will be ordering some parts from Iboats and would be fine to shop everything in one package.Thanks!

that is normal for most drives. You didn't say what year make and model yours is...

Think of it in terms of the shaft turning the propeller, not you turning the propellor with your hand... then I think it'll make sense....
