Thanks for your answer. The electric choke is working fine. You could be right about the motor not drawing enough air. I just noticed that the butterfly baffles in the carb throat are not opening right up. They are opening about 1/2 way. I will have to adjust that and give it a try. Its an evinrude 1980 V4 85 hp. Model # e85tlcsa. Though you might not find the model number in literature. The closest number I can find is e85stlcsa. The extra s in the number stands for special paint so I dont think it should matter. What is a nozzle gasket ? The carbs have new gaskets on the mounting plate.There is something wrong with electric choke !-----Try moving the solenoid.-----Or the motor is not drawing enuff air to pull fuel into carburetor throat when cranking.--Nozzle gasket is in place in carburetor ?------Year / HP / Model # of this motor ?
