Congrats, Fox..You're dead-on.Yes, it's a Bayliner cruiser..I took the pic at my favorite in-town boatyard, Mainsail Marina. They just got this boat in, and she is a real sight!

Now, I always enjoy a good laugh.....and I think 12 Footer should mail that picture to Inter-Lux and ask if bottom paiiint always reacts that way.<br /><br />I laugh thinking that we have ALL given suggestions to the boat owner when his questions about "tilt not working" "Won't plane" "Boat pulls to right" "Prop help needed" "not hitting full throttle" "How do you check lower unit oil" or the typical "need help!" Now consider OUR answers..."get a Dolfin" "check the fluids" "Well what RPMs are you turning" "Adjust the trim tabs".<br /><br />12 Footer please tell us that the boat belongs to a "snow bird" who left it docked for an entire year! Well, from the look of the stern drive, and the fact that its a bayliner, I'm guess that its lived up to its name for about a year. <br /><br />That is to say it sank and lined the bay for a year or so.. <br /><br />rgds<br /><br />Frank

I think you are right,that this boat was owned by a seasonal resident, and was pulled for non-payment of slip fees. The rest of the vessel is in comparitively good condition, but these snail-guys are covering everything below the waterline.It actually had a little mangrove sprig growing-out of the gimbal,but someone pulled it out. The boat is not runnning....Hmmm...I wonder why not.

First off... my Bayliner works just fine, no problems. It was the Mercury Engine that was crap. #1: "Our new proctective coating, 'Barnacles'©, will protect your sterndrive and hull for the life of the boat"
