Okay, last time I went boating, we got towed in.
This time 4 of us go out to a lake to meet some other friends who are camping out there.
Anyways, after a great day on the water, it is time to leave, so 2 of my friends decide to stay for the weekend. Okay with me, so me and one guy take off on my boat to go to the dock. We get about a mile from the campsite(which is out of sight of the campsite) and the motor dies.
I realize that I ran out of gas....no problem...I brought 2 extra jerry cans with me. They are not in the boat  My buddy says my friends took them so they had enough gas for the weekend. I'm pissed now!! So I ask him if I can have one of his beers, since we have to wait for a passing boat to flag down. THE COOLER IS GONE TOO!
So now we are in the middle of the lake..no gas...no food...now water...no beer. NOTHING!!!
Just then my buddy starts to have a panic attack. GREAT!!! He starts freaking out that we are going to be stuck here and who knows what is going to happen to us. I told him to calm down. He just kept freaking out until I waved down a boat.
The guy in the boat gave us his tank and off we went to the dock. Buddy does not even want any money for the gas I used. That was real nice of him.
The following day, I am at work and one of my friends from camp calls me and leaves a message that he forgot he had to work on Monday and wanted me to come and pick him up after I was done work.
So.....you take my gas from my boat, take the cooler as well...I run out of gas in the middle of the lake....and now you want me to pick you up at the campsite because you forgot you had to work. I DON'T THINK SO!!!! I left him there :D
Now here is the part of the story where this all becomes my fault.
On the way to the campsite, my boat would not get up on plane with all of us in it, plus the gas, cooler, backpacks etc...
So when we get to the campsite, out comes everything in the boat so I can test it and see if there are any problems besides the weight. The cooler comes out, backpacks, GAS CANS etc...
So it turns out that the reason that gas(and cooler) was not in the boat, was well....my fault.
Lesson Learned!

Your own fault    Must be some strange Canadian concept.

It is never "your own fault" down here in the ol' USofA. It must have been the way you were raised, or the design of the boat that forced you to unload it, the extreme unladen weight of some of your gear, or the hallucinogenic properties of that burger you ate on the way to the lake!

Contact one of our lawyers (we have plenty) and he'll find someone down here who owes you money for your pain and suffering... :D

Really now, forget all the other stuff, but not making sure the beer was onboard before leaving the campsite is certainly your fault. :D

It is a crime in itself. No beer and stranded in the middle of the lake. :D

Why were you going to drink a Beer if you were then going to drive?

Not a good Idea and I will arrest you and give you a ticket if'n I catch you!

I do not drink and drive, at least not after 2 beers anyways. One is okay, not 2. And my limit is not much past that anyways.
My friend was the one driving my boat, not me.
And I want to explain something to you all....I do not drink very much to begin with. I am a christian and have to be an example, but there is nothing wrong with a couple beers now and again(of course, not when you are driving).
Next time I will be much more clearer when I post..easier that way

It woulda been justa little better if the lake was swarming with mosquitoes, and there was no breeze.

Oh yeah, that sounds better azfyrfyter63. mosquitoes, hot arid day, no breeze, a freaked out friend, no beer, no gas, stuck in the middle of the lake. Ummm...no thanks!
Who's signature was it that said "a bad on the water is better than a good day at work"? I beg to differ under these above noted circumstances.
