OMG no. A Honda three wheeler that runs like a top is worth way more than 20 abandoned, neglected boats. Please keep your Atv, you'll really regret getting rid of it, I can gaurantee you that. Their is way better boats out there for you. Try to trade him for something else....mabey an old car with no motor in it.

If all you want is to make money then just hold out for your price on the ATV. I am certain you would regret the trade for that boat. And as far as people's word, no matter where they live when it comes to the condition of a boat they have for sale or trade the "hull" truth is rarely given.

What value does the 3 wheeler have? Some of the Honda's were 250cc racing trikes, when the goverment outlawed them, the manufactures made kits for 2 front wheels. So only a collector or someone who needs it for parts will be interested. Sentimental value is a different issue. I had bought back in 88 an LT500r (quadzilla) used it for many years, stored it away, sold it last Novemeber for $3000, paid $3300 new, got my investment, but that was a special quad http://i765.photobucket.com/albums/xx295/sammywell2009/DCP_3786.jpg

Go check out the boat, you might be surprised in its condition.
On a side note, value in a boat is subjective, everyboat has issues, my old bayliner had its share, but it didn't stop my from fishing the bay and river, so what it had mismatched colors or had scratches, didn't have a new engine, it still caught stripers and flounders like the new ones. I understand a rotted transom is a deal breaker, but you never know til you look.http://i765.photobucket.com/albums/xx295/sammywell2009/IMG_1027.jpg

I remember quadzilla's lol... But i do prefer 3-wheelers of quad's anyday my old 3-wheeler can go almost anywhere a big *** 4x4 can go and sometimes go in places the 4x4's can't because i can float through it....

But i said something to the guy about maybe doing a different type of trade and keeping the 3-wheeler and he backed out right away.

Where are you at? Down south you would have a longer time to use a boat, and make some new good memories, but with a better deal than that one.

I'd say go for it. You'll have a lot more fun with the boat, at least I know I do. I've had several quad's in the past, 4 to be exact, the last being a 2000 400EX. Sometimes I wish I didn't get rid of it, but I like the boat much more. If you know anything about boats at all, you've got 1 up on me. I just walked up knowing nothing about boats & said "I'll take it". It needed a new deck & some TLC, but I got it done & it's a fine looking & running boat. I replaced the deck myself & although it was a lot of work, it was not hard work & got it done in about a week & 1/2. If you have someone that really knows boats, take them with you so you know what exactly your jumping into. I'd still say go for it. Just my .02

Hey Airwolf, be sure to keep us updated as this progrgesses if you go thru with it. It is always good to let others know how something went, even if not "good". This is always good for those that have a similar situation and perform a search and come upon this later.

Sorry, I seem to come across as negative sometimes, I like stories that end good also!
