Uhhh...is Escort a trailer maker?
The winch tower has an Escort Trailers sticker on it & the name is familiar. Seller may have told me it's an Escort trailer.

I think I'll snug up the bolts so they don't move "freely", but will adjust under the boat's weight.

EDIT:
Can't. The bunk brackets must have bushings in there. The bolts are "ugga" tight and the bunks move freely.
I guess AI is wrong again. This is designed to move like this.

Spacers and or washers, or modifying the bushings, can be done to snug things up. Some trailer mfgrs have a stop built into the mount that limits the travel of the bunk. Without pics I can't tell.
