Thompson Boats

Is Thompson out of business? I thought I had read some where that they had gone bankrupt. I checked the NADA book on line and they don't show anything after 1997. Thinking about a mid 90's model but kind of leary if they are no longer around.

Yes...they have gone the way of many boat builders in the last decade or so. If you like the boat what's the difference if they were still in business or not? All warranties from a mid 90's would be done long ago. I don't think they went under from quality issue's. Lot's of people have boats from builders that have gone under.

Even if they were still here it would not matter much. Boat builders change there designs so often that after a few years you can not get parts for it anyway.

go to www.yachtsurvey.com. They did a 27 footer. It was so bad they didnt even complete the survey. It was a 1996 model surveyed in 1998. What a piece of crap.
