Looking to get back into the boating life, what do y’all think of these 3? I have not spoken to the sellers yet & only have a limited amount of information at this point. I’m just looking for some of the general opinions from the members here on the 3 that interest me the most. Thank you for your input.
2003 Larson 190 Lx- Volvo Penta power plant. Asking price & 8,000
1996 Crownline 202 - 4.3 Lx w/Bravo 3 outdrive. Asking $7,500
2001 Crownline 180 - Mercury MerCruiser, 225 hp? Looks like an inline 6 cyl. Asking $6,000
All 3 look very well maintained & cared for. All have paperwork for boat & trailer. I will have more information after speaking with sellers during this coming week. I’m aware pictures rarely tell the real story & I have owned a boat before, brought an’85 bayliner w/Force o/b and brought it back from the dead, some of you might laugh & ask why would you do that? I’ll tell you what, that little boat & engine never let me down not even one time, Thanks again for any feedback

Any one of those could be a project waiting to happen, even though they may look OK in pictures or in person. Pick the one that is not rotting :D

Crownline 180 - There are no inline 6, it should be a 3.0 4 cyl

Agree with Ted, it will be the hull that should make the decision after you know the motor runs

I would look for a boat with an aluminum hull, far less dry rot issues and they hold there value much better !! Any glass boat over 15 years old has an extremely high probability of having rotten wood somewhere....

Yep, I got a free boat year before last and spent most of last year tinkering with it... I got lucky with the hull but it still has a way to go..if you like tinkering as much as you like boating then you'll be okay...

I have a 73 Chrysler, rebuilt the hull, have 4 motors and still have not got it water ready. I'm almost ready to give it away but just can't do it as yet
