wow beautiful motors ,im taking it the 30 is yours?awesome job!i was at a guys house 2 years ago and he had twin 25,s or 35,s mounted on a board between 2 trees ,maybe they will be something to check back on also.i have a complete 5 1/2 hp 56 up in the garage unfortunately the motor is toast ,destroyed.also got a near mint pressure tank so maybe i can figure something out for a future project.im thinking a 35 or 25 main motor and a kicker of 56 57 vintage and a wood boat of say peterborough or maybe a new geisler.

I got those photos off an ebay auction while researching it. That motor sold for over $1000.

I'm not sure what I'm going to do with mine, as it's missing the front cover.

well if that javelin is still for sale here and not to pricey ill proably bite.other than that there are proably several old motors in garages in the back collecting dust so i could put a ad in the paper and see what transpires.i got several different parts i just cant just seem to throw out myself,1968 evinrude 55 hp lowerunit ,64 merc 65 hp block in mint cond ,etc.becoming a pac rat.but you never know maybe they will come in handy some day.to bad i got to work today or id go to the hessel michigan boat show today (antiques)its great to see all that old stuff .

well have called about the 57 javelin several times and no answer.why people put ads in paper and then dont answer their phones is beyond me.so i put a ad in the local site myself and hopefully somebody will have something collecting dust in their garage.

ok, I had to take a closer look and I now assume I have a 1956 30hp Javelin then... sitting beside the '57 35hp. The data plate is worn off, so it's juat a guess but it makes sense if there was no red/white Javelins in '57!

So now my question is, what's the difference between the 2 engines? What'd they do to get the extra 5hp?

And yeah... it needs some cosmetic work!
