Been looking at a I think late 90's 17" Key West C/C . Very good galv trailer . No motor . I can pick it up for 400 bucks with clean title .
Now the bad .. The inside console and cooler type seat was set on fire . The fire was contained to just that area . It did melt the inside of the gunwales on each side . but looks very fixable . It did not melt the flotation in the sides and I think it did not burn through the deck . The guy has a good c/c he is throwing into the deal .
One question I have is the sides are open now and was wondering if the flotation could be saturated . I know the KW's are all composite built from what I have heard . I do have an 85 Force o/b that I could put on there until I can find maybe a 90 or so Yamaha or Evinrude in a few years .
I really don't need another project boat but it seems to me kinda hard to pass up .
Any thoughts ?
