Just when I think I have my choices narrowed down to the sun tracker and bentley I run across another possibility:facepalm:

How does the Lowe Suncruiser SS compair to these other boats?

I talked with a dealer that sells these today. He can sell me a 21' with 90 HP, tandum trailer with brakes for $19,995. I think this price even included the cover.

The other boats I have looked into are the Bently 22' 60 HP bigfoot with trailer for $20,000.

Sun Tracker party barge 21 with trailer and 60 HP bigfoot for $21,000

They are all 3 pretty much in the same price range, but the suncruiser would have the 90 HP motor rather than a 60 HP bigfoot. Is the suncruiser ss comparable to the other 2?

We are going to look at all 3 saturday.

Re: Thoughts on Lowe Suncruiser SS

I looked at a Suncruiser before buying the SunTracker.
If I remember right the SunCruiser had smaller pontoons, a wood deck and lower max weight capacity.
I liked the fact they use a tandem trailer, and the price seemed right. I was quoted $16,795 with the 60HP Bigfoot two years ago.
Overall, I was just a bit more impressed by the overall features and construction of the Sun Tracker

It shoudl be about the same, they are all entry level boats, poke your in on and under all 3 of them and get the one that looks to be the best built, the 90 is pretty tempting though.

The only thing the suncruiser dealer could tell me that the suncruiser had up on the other two boats was it has 25" logs instead of 23". Otherwise the looks on the website are pretty much the same. I do like the sound of a tandum trailer and 90 motor for the same price. Guess I will know more after looking at them this weekend.

Sounds like none of the 3 brands have any reoccuring major problems.

The other feature that is different is that the SS has a wider deck by 5-6 inches. That's either good or bad depending how you feel about it.

Go with the Lowe, had on for several years in Mich. and never had a problem.

Can we assume all 3 motors are 4 stroke? I have a Sun Tracker but would be very tempted by the 90 hp and tandem trailer. What brand is the 90 hp.?

With a boat that is getting long in the tooth, the non-wood deck would be very attractive to me. If you plan on keeping it a long time, that would be a factor..
