Technostupeedo, I don't think anybody's boycotting your post,It's just this oil ratio thing in older mercs seems to generate alot of opinions-all with their own experience and what information mercury has published. I run 40:1 in my old merc just because it makes me 'feel' better. I ran 50:1 for a bit and think it runs a little better on low rpms, but decided a little heavier on the oil might be safer on an old motor.

Techno - usually it works best to actually start a new thread if the subject of your question changes. There are people who would notice a subject line for an area they know about or have personal experience with, but they might not read threads with subjects that they don't have expertise. Make any sense?
