I have a 15 horse Johnson (1994-1998)(not exactly sure of year). Got it slightly used. No manual. The throddle seams to be locked. It will idle & run great, but I can't figure out how to get the throddle lock OFF if there is one. PLEASE RESPOND
Howdy, Gary.<br /><br />Not sure exactly what you mean. There is a block that prevents you from full throttle in Neutral.<br /><br />If the Throttle is "locked" how do you know that it runs well off of idle?<br /><br />One possibility: If this engine was used as a backup on a salt water boat the throttle shaft may be corroded and frozen. Happens a lot to kickers that don't get used and serviced.<br /><br />Give us more detail, please.<br /><br />Red sky at night. . .<br />JB
