Throttle Body Damage???????............see pics

I may have tightened the needle valve too much, is there supposed to be a slight hole for the needle through the bottom????? You can see added threads......not sure if this is normal???

1995 90 hp johnson ocean runner, the pictures should help......................it is the single s/s needle valve with the spring, just above the bottom right screw hole there is a little hole/indent

These idle adjustments are preset from factory. Hope you counted turns out!!!. If not, start at 5 1/2 turns out from a lite seat. Final adustment will take 2 people, 1 to drive and 1 to adjust. Idle around with engine trimmed level and adjust in 1/4 turns and wait to see result. If you have service manual follow it to the letter!!!
