Here is my question : our control box had a groove in the shaft that goes through the gear that attaches the linkage arms, the handle was moving freely , forward and reverse so the bearing was stuck in the sidewall . we welded , machined and put it all back together , so now when we just started it the motor was high rpms and the prop was spinning ??!?!??! so now since we had the handle all apart we need to find the neutral position again ? do we start at the motor and work backwards ? adjusting the cables according to the lickage in the motor once we get the motor to a neutral position? it's a quicksilver commander 3000 throttle.
