I have adjusted the barrel on the engine end of the throttle cable as far as it will go but I'm not hitting the throttle stop. Is there any adjustment on the control box end or is the cable in need of replacement. Thanks Bob

If it is a standard MerControl, there are no adjustments. You should have plenty of adjustment on the throttle cable. Look for broken parts... Are you trying to hit max throttle or min throttle? How close are you coming?

Trying to get min. throttle/idle speed. When in neutral the the idle screw isn't against the stop. You can push it there and it stays but as soon as you move the throttle forward and back to neutral it's off the stop about 1/4". I have the cable adjusted all the way.

Maybe the rollers in the MerControl are worn? I do not know if replacements are avail.

Are you talking about the control box? It's a Quicksilver, I'm wondering if the throttle cable is stretched out.
