Hello all, I am trying to find the correct replacement throttle cables for a 1972 Mercury 110 9.8 hp outboard. Either the original or cross referenced cables. Any information would be very helpful and much appreciated. Thank you
Sir Scott thank you for the information. I did however try that and no luck. I am hoping someone will have the information on here. The dealers do not seem to have it either. I am also wondering if it would be possible to buy a similar looking cable and modify the length to fit my motor. The length from the tiller handle throttle grip to end of cable is 21.5" I am wondering how difficult it is to remove the stops on the cable and reinstall them?
Sir Scott thank you again. I am going with the 86210. I did do as much research as I could and couldn't get an answer. It never matched my serial number it said it would fit serial numbers 8xxxxxx and up. The dealer told me 86210 wouldn't work but now I am skeptical. I am glad I got to join this forum. Thank you for your time and information really appreciate it.
