there is a cyl shape with the idle adjustment screw connecting the throttle cam to the linkgage to the timer base. I believe this has a spring that when you get over 1/3-1/2 throttle and the wot timing is max, that is comppresses to let the thottle plates open more. If the spring, or ? is worn will this not allow the timing to advance soon enough to that 1/3-1/2 throttle reponse thus has a retarded low to mid range respose? The motor has just been rebuilt and Ive checked the timing base and it appears to be free moving. Thanks for any thoughts.
