throttle control is a piece

i have the quicksilver 2000 with trim and trailer......its stiff feeling and the trailer trim button down at the bottom of the control works right half the time....can anyone suggest a good control...i really want something the is smooth and has good response....its a 5.7 merc

if it's stiff it is likely the cables and not the control.... the trim problem could be elsewhere too

possibly could be the cables but had them checked out and they were fine...but he could be wrong i know.......the trailor button is just hard as hell to push in, but i can take the clip on the emergency shut off and short it when i take the cover off and it works everytime, its just a pain in the butt....does any one have a suggestion on controls?

Tell us what it is about it that you don't like, and what you'd like to have, and then we may be able to point you in the right direction....

I have installed this model on a boat before and it worked really smooth.
You may want to call Iboats and see if they stock this model control.
I did not see it listed in the Iboats store.

When I installed the "new" engine and drive in my 20+ year old Four Winns, I used one of the controls below...... I just love it and so does everyone else that drives the boat. It's very positive into and out of gear!

I also think you can buy right here on iBoats too!
